When Vanessa first contacted me about photographing her wedding and engagement photos I had a brief blast from the past moment as her and I went to MIDDLE school together! Gosh I just can’t believe how long ago middle school was. Before we met up to talk about the wedding I pulled out the good ol middle school yearbooks…..we won’t discuss my 6th grade photo hahaha! But I was just flipping through and noticed Vanessa and Grant were pictured right next to one another EVERY year! I didn’t know Grant in middle school so when I saw that my heart did a little dance knowing that they now, over a DECADE later, are getting married!

What was really exciting about their engagement photos is their session was completely spontaneous! I messaged Vanessa just to confirm their session which was still weeks out. It just so happened that Grant was off of work last week and the weather was going to be nice so Vanessa decided she just wanted to go ahead and do them! So we did them 2 days later and I am SO happy we did!!

Vanessa and Grant first starting dating just a little over 10 years ago when they were just sophomores in high school! I just LOVE high school sweethearts!! So Grant finally popped the question last year around this time while they were on a cruise! They also have the cutest little boy and girl and come October they will officially be The Printups! I couldn’t be happier for them and their sweet family!! Congratulations to Vanessa and Grant!!
