Our Farmhouse Camper Renovation

2020 has certainly been a year. COVID-19 has turned probably everyone’s lives around in some way, shape, or form. We were just about to sign papers in a matter of DAYS to start building on our home…WELP, the virus started to spread like wildfire and low and behold, our construction loan was stopped due to all the uncertainties the virus brought.

We had discussed before about the possibility of buying a pull behind camper to live in for awhile to save money on rent until we got our house built. Justin and I have rented for about 5 years now and we were so close to being home owners! We still will be in the near future, except with slightly adjusted plans. No biggie! So we came across an AMAZING deal on a camper for only $2,000! We snagged it up and got to work on the renovations!!

Other than a few leaks, chewed wires, and the need for some TLC, the camper really wasn’t in terrible shape for $2k! One reason this was awesome is because it gave me the extra funds to completely renovate the interior to a farmhouse style!! The camper came with your standard wood colored cabinets, tan walls, carpet, and lots and lots of those outdated fabric window and door trimmings (not sure what they are called).

After a TON of white paint, some shiplap, new floors, and a few trips to the Target and Hobby Lobby’s home decor section, we have ourselves a comfy and cozy Farmhouse camper to call our own for awhile!! And I am completely OK with it!

Check out the photos below of the final product featuring the most adorable little red head you ever did see!! Emileigh loved modeling in it the other day for me!!
