Shani + Brigg | Covington, Louisiana Wedding
Oh October 10th, 2020… This date was the most requested date of the year for weddings!! On this day, I had the pleasure of photographing Shani and Brigg’s small and intimate wedding on their back terrace of their home in Covington, Louisiana!!
So as Louisiana weather would have it, we were all nervously watching The Weather Channel the week of the wedding as Hurricane Delta RANDOMLY developed in the Caribbean! She hit the night before and we were left with one of the most beautiful evenings of the year!! What a blessing!! The light breeze, sunshine glistening through the trees, and the sound of the jazz band creating the most romantic and elegant ambiance.
I learned upon arriving at Shani and Brigg’s home that Shani’s sweet mom had passed. It was so evident how special this beautiful lady was to everyone as I watched many heartfelt emotions fill the room as Shani’s father carried around her photograph. It’s truly amazing the power of a simple photograph and how the memory of a person radiates from it even after they are gone. It was so clear to me that Shani’s mom was 100% there in spirit cheering for her and Brigg from Heaven!!
Aside from the truly gorgeous day, Shani and Brigg’s connection to one another shines so bright! I couldn’t be happier for them, after 6 years together, that they chose to enter into this new and amazing season of life!! I felt honored to capture this special day for them and their families!! Congratulations to Dr. and Mrs. Booth!!
