Brittanie + Jared | The White Magnolia | Kentwood, Louisiana
This blog post has been an extra long time coming. I KNEW as I was leaving and reflecting on Brittanie and Jared’s wedding day at The White Magnolia in Kentwood, Louisiana that this blog post was going to take me a little longer. Guys…..this day was THAT amazing. So many beautiful elements, a perfect day, hilarious and emotional moments, and the sweetest couple ever!!
Brittanie and I have joked about the CRAZY windy weather we had when I photographed her bridal session roughly a month prior to the wedding. So when I arrived at The White Magnolia to a calm, breezy, overcast day, I was THRILLED!! I began to photograph all the of the gorgeous bridal details along with the sheer rustic elegance of The White Magnolia. Seriously, photographing a wedding at this place is always just the most seamless experience and a true breath of fresh air.
After hanging out with the girls (and flower man haha….more on this in a sec…) for a bit it came time for Brittanie and Jared’s eyes to meet for the first time on their wedding day for their first look. I always wonder how grooms are going to react to seeing their beautiful brides on their wedding day. Jared turned around and he was just……beside himself. I think for a minute he floated up to the clouds. “Wow” were the words I kept hearing over and over with an expression as if he saw a real life ANGEL. Only meeting these two as a couple once, I could tell they had a goofy side and playful side. After a few shedding tears, I chuckled as I watched them start to cut up. Brittanie twirled and showed off her absolute stunning dress and in turn Jared had to show off his handsome groom style. There may or may not have been some booty grabbing hahahah. Seriously LOVE these two!!
Before Brittanie took her walk of a lifetime, she had to throw in a little twist for Jared and the guests. Bryce, a very good friend of theirs, came down that aisle STRUTTING HIS STUFF as the flower man! When she told me this was happening I legit could not wait!! It was such a fun way to throw in something that draws so much laughter. And guys, Bryce KILLED it! My favorite part was when he chucked a whole bag of flower petals right at Jared!! I am giggling now as I type this!!
It was now time!! Time for Jared and Brittanie to enter into the most amazing season of life together. She came down the aisle and I took a quick peak back at Jared. It was as if he was truly settled into the moment thinking to himself how his whole world was walking right toward him. They were about to become one. Their handwritten, heart-felt vows that they read to one another only solidified the feeling I had when I first met with them…..they are MEANT for each other. I could not be happier for them and feel nothing but BLESSED that our paths crossed for me to be apart of such an amazing day! I will forever be thankful. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Free!!!!
