Kaitlyn + Lance | Wedding | The Barn at TH Farms | Independence, Louisiana

It was a warm December day in Independence, Louisiana for Kaitlyn and Lance’s special day at The Barn at TH Farm’s! It may have started a little rainy but the sun came out just in time when they arrived to the venue to share their first look and take their portraits! They intertwined elements of Christmas, rustic, and a dash of elegance when it came to the style of their day; and friends, it was just STUNNING!!

I’ve known Kaitlyn and her family for quite some time now with photographing many of Kaitlyn’s milestones over the years. I remember the day she called me and asked if I was available on her wedding date and was so enthusiastic about getting the ball rolling with planning! I was thrilled that I had the day open and couldn’t be more thankful that she chose me to capture more special milestones for her! I arrived at Kaitlyn’s home where she was getting ready with all of her best ladies. I am definitely a little nervous Nelly before I enter the bridal suite on every single wedding day. Kaitlyn and her sweet and down to earth family immediately made me feel so comfortable and like I was right at home!

I frantically searched for my keys for a few minutes there (a typical Krystal curse) and then we all headed to the venue!! If there is one thing that was most apparent to me about Kaitlyn, Lance, and their day as a whole, its that there were so many heart-felt moments that felt purely wholesome and genuine. Kaitlyn and both her mom and dad have the sweetest relationship as does Lance with his parents! The happy tears that fell that day just prove how much their families love and care for them. When the videographer has to get her makeup bag out of her car to do some makeup touchups after a bride shares the sweetest moment with her dad…. it just proves that the meaning beyond the moments that happen on a wedding day will be carried in their hearts forever! When I first met Lance when doing their engagement photos earlier in the year, I KNEW that Kaitlyn had met her match!! Lance has the most genuine, fun-loving, and jovial personality and it is so clear to see just how much Kaitlyn means to him!! In a nutshell, these two are one of the most amazing couples I have ever met! I couldn’t be happier for them as they enter in this amazing new season of life!! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Chenevert!!!
