It’s hard to put into words the pure joy and happiness that emanated from this beautiful day at The White Magnolia in Kentwood, Louisiana. Lauren and Mark, some of sweetest and most humble souls I have ever met, finally tied the knot amongst the open air, greenery and white adorned chapel at The White Magnolia. To say this evening was magical is an UNDERSTATEMENT.

They were married at dusk with still a little glimpse of light glistening over the lake behind the grand windows of the chapel. What you can’t see is how winter made herself known in mid-November there in Kentwood. And she wasn’t messing around. We were…..freezing!! But what stood out to me the most was that even despite the cold and crisp air….everyone’s hearts were so warm that you could see and feel the magic of the day unfolding without even an acknowledgement to the chilly temperature. Lauren and Mark are pure examples of truly being in the moment and ignoring anything that would have the potential to dull their light. In other words, they braved the cold air through their ceremony and portraits like CHAMPS!! Not to even mention some of my legit most FAVORITE images I have ever taken in my career. When I first met Lauren and Mark for their engagement session back in September 2021, little did myself AND they know that they would be welcoming the sweetest and most adorable little boy into the world. The pleasure of meeting these two before they were parents, capturing their love story, then ultimately seeing them on one of the most special days of their lives becoming The Barker’s together as the sweetest little family is something I will be FOREVER grateful for. This day was everything and absolutely had my cup overflowing as a reminder of why I LOVE what I do. I couldn’t be more thankful that Lauren and Mark put their trust in me to capture not only this day but this milestone!! I am screaming a huge congratulations to the Barker’s and their amazing families!!
