Trenee + Matt | Engaged | Destin, Florida
Ok so I was not ready for Trenee and Matt for their absolute drop dead GORGEOUS engagement session in Destin, Florida! From the sand dunes, to the jetties, to the beautiful emerald crashing waves into the bright sand….this session was nothing short of PERFECTION. And when you add a madly and hopelessly in love couple such as Trenee and Matt to such a beautiful landscape, you get MAGIC!
Anyone that follows me on social media and keeps up with me frequently knows that I love the beach and it is my absolute FAVORITE place to be. When Trenee messaged me asking if I would be up for shooting their engagement session in Destin, of course I was like YEEEESS!! And it just so turned out I was going to be in Destin anyway at the same time they were! It was FATE!! Justin, Emileigh, and I traveled 12 long hours from Missouri only to arrive to Destin to ugly stormy weather. Thankfully, Matt was able to stay a little longer for us to do the session the next day! And oh gosh was it WORTH IT!
Upon discussing the session with Trenee beforehand, I learned that this particular place had quite significant meaning to her and her family. Sadly, Trenee and her family endured the loss of her brother. The jetties in Destin happened to be one of his absolute favorite spots. They decided to do honor his memory at this very place and buried his obituary there by the rocks. It always warms my heart to incorporate something, whether it be a place or object, into photos to make it special and unique to the couple. This meant a lot to Trenee!! I have a feeling her brother Travis was laughing down at us climbing all over these rocks trying to not to fall in!
Looking back at this session, I would take the blistered, sun burned arms, climbing huge rocks and getting soaked a MILLION times over!! EPIC is the main word I am thinking of to not only describe this session but Trenee and Matt themselves! I absolutely can’t wait to capture their big day next June at The White Magnolia and I couldn’t be happier for them that they are getting to experience such an amazing time together!! Congratulations to these love birds!!
