Macy + Stephen | Wedding | St. Mary’s Assumption Church | Il Mercato | New Orleans, Louisiana
The day started off rainy and humid for Macy and Stephen’s New Orleans wedding day. However, scrolling through their photos you would never even know as the skies cleared and the sun came out just minutes before their first look in the romantic courtyard of Il Mercato located the heart of historic New Orleans, Louisiana! Just a few blocks over, they were married in the utterly MAGNIFICENT St. Mary’s Assumption Church. Do yourselves a favor and scroll and let me take your breath away!
These high school sweethearts have been a long time coming to finally tie the knot. Spending time with them from taking their engagement pictures to the moment they laid eyes on each other on one of the biggest days of their lives let me get a glimpse of just how much they mean to each other. When Stephen turned around to see Macy, he was SPEECHLESS. He had the best reaction and trust me, you have to scroll to see it!! These two are yet another reason why I forever vouch for first looks on wedding days. Wedding jitters are so so normal at the beginning of the day when you’re getting ready and I could tell without a doubt that as soon as Macy fell into her grooms arms, she felt at home. Then what followed was gorgeous portraits, a whole lot of laughter, and just beautiful easy going day. Had they not shared this first look in private before their ceremony, they would have missed out on all of this!
I couldn’t be happier for Macy and Stephen as they are some of the sweetest people I ever met in my wedding photography journey. They are without a doubt made for each other and I know they will do great things together in their marriage! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Davis!!
