Kaitlyn + Lance | A Fun Engagement Session at The White Magnolia in Kentwood, LA

I could literally photograph Kaitlyn and Lance in a field at The White Magnolia over and over and over. This shoot was the perfect mix of dreamy, laid back, and SO MUCH FUN! I have known Kaitlyn for a few years as I photographed her high school senior portraits back in 2017? or maybe it was 2018. Honestly, time flies so fast that it really feels like yesterday when I would have taken those. It’s such a heartwarming feeling to have captured one milestone for Kaitlyn in her life and now she’s getting married to the love her life! I feel so so thankful and it warms my heart that she chose me to capture this special time in her life as well!

Upon meeting Lance, Kaitlyn’s fiance, for the first time, the same thoughts were going through my head prior to arriving just like any other engagement shoot. “Just gotta get em warmed up…” “How can I get him to feel comfortable in front of the camera”….WELL, Lance absolutely blew me away with his fun and jovial personality and enthusiasm for the shoot. Kaitlyn even said “He was more excited about this than I was!” Haha. Nothing against my grooms, but most of the time the ladies show up already knowing what to expect. My goal, always, is to try and make it feel like were just friends hanging out and I just happen be the one looking like I just rolled out a bed with a camera in my hand….lol. I never want it to feel like ‘work’ for any of us! Just chilling in a field for no reason while I capture the truest of personalities for two people! Kaitlyn and Lance made this easy from the very start of the shoot! I very much enjoyed hanging out with them and couldn’t be happier that they tying the knot in December! Congratulations to Kaitlyn and Lance!
