Jessica + Justin | Engaged

What was suppose to be a cloudy day turned out to be a bright and beautiful sunny day! A tiny bit warm but otherwise the PERFECT day for a stroll through the heart of New Orleans! Jessica and Justin showed up all smiles and already laughing! I was blown away since natural laughter is what I strive to capture! These two did not hold back that’s for sure!

Before the session Jess showed me a photo they wanted to try to recreate while having beignets at Cafe du Monde! I was like YESS! While standing in line I asked them to help me look and try to spot an open table towards the edge (so I can get the best natural light!) It was our turn to get a table and wha la! The EXACT few tables I thought would have been best came available! I never get that lucky haha! We then enjoyed our beignets! Justin was such a trooper and let Jess blow some powered sugar on him to get a cool shot! It is AH-MA-ZING!!

I first met Jess and Justin over coffee a few months earlier! Upon chatting with them I learned that Jess and I both have Justin’s whom are from Missouri haha! Almost a year ago in April 2018 Justin popped the question and Jess says she was so stunned and surprised that she can hardly remember it! They were in St. Louis going to see Hamilton. Justin had been planning it for awhile and actually hired professional photographer to capture the moment! Jess told me they were actually running a little late and the photographer gave some kids about to go to prom a free prom session while he was waiting on them haha! So they finally show up and the photographer sees them and then follows. Justin pulls out the tickets for Hamilton and THEN the RING! EEK!

Jess and Justin have their special day planned for December 28th, 2019 and I couldn’t be more excited! It’s crazy to think that when their wedding day arrives 2019 will basically be over! But I am so ready to continue capturing these two’s love story and be apart of their amazing day! Congratulations to the future Mr. and Mrs. Ragland!!
