HaLeigh + Bobby | Engaged
My jaw has officially dropped to the floor with these two!! HaLeigh and Bobby’s engagement shoot has been in the works for a little while now and it FINALLY happened a couple weeks ago in the heart of The Windy City-Chicago, Illinois!!
My first initial conversation with HaLeigh was over email upon booking their wedding in Louisiana. In the midst of our conversation, I learned that her and Bobby first crossed paths when they got hired at the same company in Chicago! A Louisiana girl and a South Carolina guy who probably never expected to meet the love of their lives at work in a place completely unfamiliar to them! Ugh, AH-MAZING!! And let me just say, after meeting them officially in Chicago, they are PERFECT for one another!!
From the famous Chicago Theater, to Cloud Gate (The Bean) in Millennium Park, to The Wrigley Building, to the Cancer Survivor’s Garden with the gorgeous Vista Towers as a backdrop, and ending with the most breathtaking skyline view of the city at The Adler Planetarium….I think we covered A LOT of Chicago’s amazingly gorgeous views and cityscape!! It was truly spectacular and I already want to go back!
One thing I absolutely ADORE about my job is that sometimes I have the opportunity to photograph my couples in a place that has a particular meaning to them or has some significance to how they met or how they got engaged! This was the case for HaLeigh and Bobby’s engagement photos in Chicago. After learning how Chicago plays a roll in how God brought these two together, I HAD to offer to photograph their engagement portraits there! So we planned and planned for months and it was more than I ever imagined! I feel so grateful that I get to do this for a living and for my amazing couples like HaLeigh and Bobby! They will officially tie the knot here in Kentwood, Louisiana in December and I absolutely can’t WAIT!! Congratulations to the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Herring!!!
