November 28, 2020
Brace yourselves, because you are about to see what 12 hours of pure gorgeousness looks like!! Last Saturday, November 21st, 2020 was a long time coming for Sibelle and Kool! After Covid-19 rescheduled their wedding originally and after 8 long years together, they FINALLY were married at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana! This day could not have been more perfect!
Filled with so much beauty throughout its entirety, this day was intertwined with many emotions, loads of gorgeous portrait time, and a breath-taking couple! They had me trying to choke back my tears multiple times throughout the day. We were getting Sibelle ready at The Watermark Hotel in downtown Baton Rouge when the first wave of emotions set in. The bride and her sweet mom shared such a sweet and emotional moment. The relationship between these two is definitely evident and it warmed my heart to capture it.
So then off we went to the church! Sibelle and Kool had a beautiful ceremony followed by amazing portraits at Louisiana’s state capitol!! I mean, how amazing right??? We laughed, celebrated, maybe sweated a little…but gosh was this wedding every photographers DREAM!! They had a reception to follow at Elegant Affairs in Gonzalez, Louisiana. There were multiple things that stood out to me at this reception. 1st was the bride and grooms jaw-dropping CHOREOGRAPHED first dance! I WAS DYING!!! Definitely scroll to see how absolutely FLAWLESS they are!!
During the speeches, Sibelle’s mom had a list of questions that she had specifically saved to ask her on her wedding night. This was the sweetest thing and I definitely felt the emotions the emanated from such an amazing mother/daughter bond. They were some laughs and some tears. But over all it was truly a beautiful moment that I feel so absolutely grateful to have witnessed in person! The rest of the evening had some other amazing moments as many of the married couples that were attending offered them some of the greatest advice entering in to this new season of their lives. Marriage is definitely not always sunshine and rainbows. And I just think it was so amazing how this couple was able to leave this night with many words of wisdom from people who love and care for them deeply!!
Without further ado, I want to congratulate Sibelle and Kool on such an amazing day! It was absolutely spectacular and I will be forever grateful that God allowed us to cross paths! Congratulations again, to the new Mr. and Mrs. Cannon!!
