Ashley + Tyler | Wedding | Crystal Events | Kenner, Louisiana
The rain held out for Ashley and Tyler’s amazing wedding day at Crystal Events in Kenner, LA on Sunday March 28th!! I arrived at Ashley’s nana’s house and immediately felt the warm and friendly vibes from Ashley, her sweet family, and bridesmaids! That initial moment when I arrive to start photographing wedding days always has me feeling a little nervous, but when Ms. Dani offered me a glass of this delicious loaded tea I started to feel like part of the family! Just another one of those little reminders of why I love my job so much!!
As Ashley was showing me her details for me to start photographing I noticed her shoes and my jaw DROPPED. Seriously, scroll down to see more of these beauties!! After photographing Ashley’s stunning details, we headed just 5 minutes down the road to their venue for Ashley to start getting ready. Ashley and her father shared the sweetest first look and then her and her groom. Looking back at the facial expressions from both Ashleys dad and groom just completely say it all. Capturing such a sweet and tender moment that shows through a facial expression is just amazing beyond words in my opinion. The love a father has for his daughter and the moment a groom gets swept away by how beautiful his bride are just few of many puzzle pieces to the significance of a wedding day. It really is true what they say about a picture being worth a 1000 words.
While planning with Ashley prior to the wedding, she really only had one request for recreation photo. It was a photo of her sweet mom from her wedding with her parents in the background. It is a photograph that shows pure love and adoration of two people for their daughter on her wedding day. It is something the hit me in the moment while I was recreating this photo for Ashley with her parents in the background. One day, that will be MY daughter… and her father and I in the background……cue tears. I am definitely a person that appreciates things that have sentimental value. This was something that meant a lot to Ashley and I was overjoyed to recreate for her.
So Ashley and Tyler said their “I Do’s” and then threw one of the BEST wedding receptions I have seen!! These families know how to throw a party that’s for sure!! Whenever I get home and over half of the photos I took are from the reception, you know its THAT GOOD!! From beginning to end, the dance floor was full with people dancing their hearts out including Ashley and Tyler!!
I am so incredibly happy for these two as they enter into this amazing season of life. Although I only got to spend a short time getting to know them, I could tell immediately, from the way the looked at each other, from the way they held each other, just how much they mean to one another! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Simmons!!
