Oh Mother Nature…especially in South Louisiana….Lauren, Mark, and myself were allll prepared for a rainy day engagement shoot and yall….. it rained maybe 10 seconds haha. Now that’s not to say Lauren and Mark’s session was any less epic because WOW…. these two are amazing! However, it just goes to show that when you make the most of what Mother Nature gives you for a shoot and more importantly for a wedding day, your mind is 100% more at ease and you aren’t left feeling disappointed in the weather on your once-in-a-lifetime day!!
There is so much to learn from Lauren and Mark here! Brides, if you’re reading this, always ALWAYS remind yourself to embrace this time no matter what the weather is and make the absolute most of it. This is exactly what Lauren did for hers and Mark’s engagement photos while making all the final plans the week of the shoot. 90% chance of rain yall!! There was no way they could reschedule due to their busy schedules….. and good thing they didn’t because it legit rained for 10 seconds and we were already headed inside so they could change! This is just proof that when you let your mind expect the worst, there’s no way to be disappointed!! I could honestly write an entire blog post on mindsets and expectations for weather for wedding days because it is the main thing I wish I could go back in time and change for my own experience as a bride!
All of this to say, Lauren and Mark were not going to let an uncontrollable obstacle put a downer on celebrating each other! They were going to make the most of their engagement session rain or shine! I absolutely LOVED that about them! Throughout the shoot, they were all about each other with the most genuine smiles, flirty laughs, and smitten love for one another! They are yet another reminder of why I do what I do! I couldn’t be happier for these two as they get to experience such an amazing time in their lives! As always, I feel nothing short of honored to be apart it capturing their love story!! Congratulations to Lauren and Mark!!
