I am going to be totally honest and say that upon meeting a couple for the first time at their engagement session always has me super nervous! However, the very SECOND that Amy approached me I felt so relieved as she and her fiancé Brandon were basically beaming with joy and happiness. Hanging out with Amy and Brandon for their engagement session at Afton Villa Gardens felt as if I known them for years! With so much kindness and humbleness emanating from the carefree way they interacted and the way they moved, I had an absolute blast capturing this milestone for them!!
Amy and Brandon brought along their adorable Australian Shepard pup, Milo, to join in on the fun of the session! Thanks to Amy’s sweet sister, Lauren, Milo had someone to entertain him while mom and dad got their photos taken. By the end of the session, you could see that Milo had adjusted to his surroundings and popped in a couple more photos and gave me the best puppy pose! I absolutely love it when couples choose to bring along their fur babies! And you will definitely see why when you scroll to see what a good boy he was!!
One of the things I asked Amy upon booking her wedding and engagement photos with me was “What drew you to my photos or ‘style’ of photography?” Her response was ‘Warm’ and ‘Natural’. It’s funny that she used these words, because when I reflect on meeting them and getting to know their personalities….warm, natural, and effortlessly in love is how I would describe them as a couple!! They are each others best friend in the world, and it shines so bright in their photos together! I am so excited for them that they get to experience such an amazing season of life with each other and I absolutely can’t wait to photograph their special day in November!! Congratulations to Amy and Brandon!!
