When I think about a perfect wedding day, I think about Brittney and Darren’s….point blank! This day was magical in every way! So many emotional moments, gorgeous photos, and lots and lots of laughter!! Brittney and Darren tied the knot at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and then celebrated downtown at City Club of Baton Rouge! It was a beautiful, bright and sunny day and it was so clear just how much support Brittney and Darren have from their family and friends!
It’s always a tricky thing for brides not wanting to mess up their makeup from the tears that are shed from the pure joy and significance of the day they are in the midst of experiencing! And for Brittney, lots of sweet and tender moments were embedded throughout this day and the tears definitely escaped! Her mom joked beforehand that she’s not one to cry all that much and that everyone was waiting to see if she would…..annnnnd ALAS, she did! How could she not though?? Brittney and her mom shared a beautiful moment together upon getting ready with a heartfelt letter and sweet gifts to each other! As a mother myself, picturing sharing this moment with my daughter some day….it is absolutely understandable the happy and bittersweet emotions that are sure to take over!
Thinking about this day as a whole, there were so many other emotional moments between not only Brittney and her mom, but also, her sweet dad as they shared a first look together and Darren as he laid eyes on his beautiful bride for the first time!! Tears fell, happiness overwhelmed the day, and two absolutely amazing people became one after so many years together. It’s funny to think that what all started from a purposely ‘accidental’ text from Darren to Brittney thinking he was texting his friend led to a lifetime of commitment and happiness together! They then danced in an empty room to end the night and rode away in their classic car…. I mean movie worthy right??? I couldn’t be happier from Brittney and Darren as they enter into this new and amazing season of life together!! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Thevenote!!!
