A Simplistic, Country-Chic Wedding at The White Magnolia in Kentwood, LA

Oh March weddings, how I LOVE you!! It was cool and laid back day complete with a relaxing atmosphere, cow pastures for miles, a sunset over the rolling Kentwood hills, and the most perfect and in love couple! Tiffany and Jono celebrated one of the most significant days of their lives at The White Magnolia in Kentwood, Louisiana. From start to finish, there was zero stress or pressure and everyone was truly able to move throughout the day with ease and in the most carefree way!! In my opinion, this is the absolute best and most amazing way for a couple to experience their wedding day!!

I arrived to start photographing all of Tiffany’s bridal details and it was as if I was just going to hang out with a group of friends. Tiffany had gifts for all of her girls AND, being the thoughtful and wonderful soul she is, she had a gift for me as well. The fact that we had an abundance of time at the beginning of the day just made the whole atmosphere calming and fun! As I was photographing the details on The White Magnolia’s porch overlooking the ceremony spot and rolling hills, Jono took the time to come out and chat with me! Although these things seem like not a big deal, these things mean the world to me and are a continuous reminder of why I choose to stay in the wedding photography business! I will forever be thankful for the kindness and genuine spirits that emanate from couples like Tiffany and Jono!

It always amazes me how two people come together and the stories that lead up to a moment as special as saying “I Do”. Tiffany and Jono’s story is precious and Tiffany’s brother had a pretty big role to play since he and Jono were best friends in high school and all throughout college. Who new that after feeling a little disappointed not seeing Jono at a certain party would lead to an eventual date in New Orleans. And who new that that date in New Orleans would lead to the two of them saying the most beautiful vows to one another on a beautiful spring day in Kentwood, Louisiana. I couldn’t be happier for Tiffany and Jono as they enter into this new and amazing season of life together!! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Songy!!
