Elizabeth + Jacob | Wedding | Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church | The Oaks Wedding + Event Center

Gosh….where do I even begin with writing about Elizabeth and Jacob’s absolutely spectacular December wedding day?! They were married in the quaint and romantic sanctuary at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church in Tickfaw, Louisiana. Prior to their ceremony, they shared the sweetest first look and even included their precious pup, Milo, into some of their portraits! The stunning and romantic courtyard amongst the live oaks, string lights, and picturesque bridge at their reception venue, The Oaks in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, provided the perfect backdrop for all of Elizabeth and Jacob’s portraits! Talk about every photographer’s dream!!

As I entered the bridal suite at The Oaks, I was greeted by Elizabeth’s sweet mom, Ms. Jodie as well as all of her bridesmaids! Right then and there I could tell the day was going to be so easy-going and so much FUN!! … And that it was!! We also not only ran right on time the whole entire day, despite the coming and going rain showers, but we were EARLY!! The fact that I was able to capture a ton of getting ready moments, bride and groom portraits, and bridal party and family…. AND get on the trolly early to head to the ceremony blows my mind!! This right here makes me so grateful for wedding parties who are attentive, trusting, and so kind and friendly like these folks because it makes such a huge difference!! To Elizabeth, Jacob, and your family and friends: you guys ROCK!!

Aside from the smooth and easy-going day itself, I couldn’t help but notice the sweetest relationship between Elizabeth and Jacob. They had nothing but smiles on their faces as they simply embraced each others presence throughout the whole day! The tears in both of their eyes as soon as they laid eyes on each other was so heartfelt. Witnessing two people who mean the world to each other experience one of the best days of their lives will forever be why I love weddings. Elizabeth and Jacob are no exception! I couldn’t be happier for these two as they enter into this new season of life together! I wish them all the happiness in the world and will be forever grateful that I got to apart of such an amazing day! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Authement!!!
