Oh December weddings, how I love thee!! Amber and Marlon were married at the charming and romantic Strawberry Manor in the heart of Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Even amongst those Louisiana mosquitos and few rain drops, they had the most romantic dusk ceremony in the front lawn of the venue’s picturesque house! Given Marlon’s love for watching football, it was only fitting that Amber threw in a little surprise and played the NFL theme song right before her sweet sons walked her down the aisle. It had Marlon, all of the guests, and myself grinning and laughing! It was the coolest surprise! After they said their I Do’s, they celebrated with their closest family and friends amongst the open air, string lit dance floor of the venue!
When I arrived, I walked into all the beautiful ladies getting glammed up for the big day. Amber was occupied getting her sweet, ‘just a couple months’ new, baby to take a nap. It was the sweetest thing! And how special is it that Amber and Marlon will have the memory of all three of their sons present and supporting their parents on one of the most special days of their lives! Amber’s oldest son, Carson, wrote a heartfelt letter to Marlon and it was truly beautiful to witness and capture the special bond that they have!
Aside from the many sweet moments that occurred throughout this truly amazing day, I couldn’t help but notice as soon as Marlon and Amber laid eyes on each other for the first time on their wedding day just how much they mean to each other. Marlon was absolutely taken aback as he turned around to see just how beautiful his bride was. His eyes spoke sincere adoration for Amber and hers the same for him! And I can understand as for the very short time that I had the pleasure of getting to know Amber, I learned just how gorgeous she is on the inside and out!! She blew me away at her bridal portrait session, and then on their wedding day both of them together were yet another reminder of why I love photographing the most special day in two people’s lives! I will be forever grateful that they chose me to capture this day and I wish the two of them many many amazingly happy years together! Without further ado, Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Miller!!
