An AMAZING start to my March wedding season began with the sweetest couple, Alex and Johnny. These two had the most perfect day at The Cedar Post Barn in Albany, Louisiana. It was a partly cloudy day with a nice breeze, a fun bridal party, and the best laid back and stress-free atmosphere! I loved every minute of capturing this day for them!
I arrived at Alex’s sister-in-law’s beautiful home where she and all her ladies were getting ready. I walked in and immediately felt right at home as they welcomed me with open arms and a surprise gift! Hair and makeup was complete, fresh flowers were on the table, and line dancing practice began in the living room! Ha!! If you are another bride reading this, there is so so much to learn from a day like this. Getting yourself in a state of mind where you can truly let loose and soak in each and every moment is so SO important. TIME… and planning for more than what you might think you need is the absolute KEY to experiencing your day to the fullest. Wedding days don’t have to be rat race! Give yourself time to breathe and imprint those special memories so they don’t become a blur. Give yourself TIME to line dance in the living room with your best friends. Give yourself TIME to celebrate GETTING MARRIED!!
Alex and Johnny also set aside some time to stand back to back and share a sweet moment together while reading beautiful, heart-felt letters to each other before their ceremony. It was clear to witness in that moment as I was photographing, that they are each others best friend and mean everything to each other! Alas, it was finally time for them to tie the knot! They had a beautiful and romantic ceremony and then danced the night away at the reception. They exited with a sparkler send off and then road off in a classic car!! I couldn’t be happier for these two as they enter into this new and amazing season of life!! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Stockton!!
